Abstract: Objective: To detect the expression of MCPIP1 and IL-17c in the lesions of the patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Methods: The expression levels of MCPIP1 and IL-17c mRNA and protein in the lesions of the patients with psoriasis vulgaris and the normal skin samples in 19 controls were detected by Real-time PCR and immunofluorescence technique. The association between the levels of MCPIP1 and IL-17c in the patients were assessed by Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The level of MCPIP1 and IL-17c in the lesions was 0.8497±0.0661 and 0.4027±0.04158, which was higher than those in controls (0.2921±0.06135 and 0.2374±0.02525) with significant differences (P<0.05). There was obvious correlation between the level of MCPIP1 and IL-17c mRNA. The protein level of MCPIP1 and IL-17c in the lesions was higher than that in normal controls. Conclusion: MCPIP1 can interact with IL-17c, which influences the development of psoriasis.
