Meningioma of the scalp: a case report

Abstract: Cutaneous meningioma is a rare tumor. A 32-year-old male patient had a right posterior occipital skin mass for 32 years. Histopathology features were incorrdance with ectopic (head occipital) meningioma. Immunohistochemistryshowed broad spectrum cytokeratin (PCK) (little +), PR (+), epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) (para-nuclear +), vimentin (+), CD34(vascular +), Ki67(2%). The diagnosis of meningioma of the scalp was made. Surgical resection was performed and no recurrence was found during one year follow-up.
