Hemangioendothelioma misdiagnosed as herpes zoster: a case report

Abstract: A 78-year-old female patient, who misdiagnosed as herpes zoster in a local  hospital,presented with blisters on the right scalp with pain for 3 months. The patient was treated with anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and analgesic therapeutic regimen without obvious effect. The secondary pathology and immunohistochemical staining confirmed a diagnosis as hemangioendothelioma. The patient refused treatment.
