Update of treatment of cutaneous nontuberculous mycobacterial infections

Abstract: Cutaneous nontuberculous mycobacterial infections are caused by nontuberculous mycobacterium (NTM). Most of NTM is naturally resistant to the common anti-tuberculousis drugs. It is needed to choose different antibiotic drugs according to the various types of isolated strains and results of drug susceptibility testing in vitro. The individual immune status can also influence treatment efficacy. Therapeutics of common cutaneous nontuberculous mycobacterial infections are summarized in this paper.
