Abstract

Abstract: Objective: To determine the expression of Livin and Caspase-3 in the lesions of incipient condyloma acuminatum. Methods: The expression of Livin and Caspase-3 in the lesions of incipient condyloma acuminatum and normal prepuce tissues was detected by Streptavidin-peroxidase. Results: The positivity rates of Livin and Caspase-3 in the incipient condyloma acuminatum and normal prepuce were 76.67% and 43.33%, 25.00% and 70.00%. There was no correlation between the expression intensity of Livin and Caspase-3 in the incipient condyloma acuminatum group (r=0.238,P>0.05).Conclusion: There is high expression of Livin and low expression of Caspase-3 in the lesions of incipient condyloma acuminatum. Both may be involved in the development of condyloma acuminatum.
