Application of methotrexate in dermatology

Abstract: Methotrexate (MTX) is a kind of folic acid antagonist with anti-proliferation, anti-inflammatory, and immunological inhibition effects. It has been widely used in the treatment of various skin diseases. The adverse reactions mainly include bone marrow suppression, hepatotoxicity, and pulmonary and renal toxicity, etc. The application of MTX in dermatology and adverse reactions are reviewed in this paper.
