Abstract: Tranexamic acid is a common antifibrinolytic drug, which is widely used in hemophilia patients after tooth extraction to stop bleeding, other surgical operations or acute trauma hemostasis, menorrhagia and other diseases. More and more studies have demonstrated that it not only has the effect of anti-secondary fibrinolysis, but also has the effects of anti-angiogenesis, inhibiting melanin synthesis, anti-inflammation, anti-allergy, improving skin natural aging and photoaging. Tranexamic acid has a therapeutic effect on many kinds of dermatosis, such as melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, Riehl's melanosis, etc. The mechanism of action, efficacy, adverse reactions and safety of tranexamic acid in the treatment of skin diseases is reviewed in this paper.
