AIDS related pruritic papular rash: a case report

Abstract: The pathogenesis of AIDS related urticant sex papular rash (AIDS-PPE) is unclear, many scholars believe that the immune disorders is of vital importance in the development of the PPE lesions, the arthropod bite or sting of excessive immune response were the main inducing factors, these patients abnormally elevated levels of total IgE. We report a case of AIDS-related pruritic papular rash in a patient who was bitten by a mosquito and the rash persisted.
