Abstract: Objective:To analyse the test results of the serum allergen-specific IgG and IgE in children with urticaria. Method:A total of 63 children with urticaria were enrolled in the study. Then serum specific IgG and IgE were detected by ELISA and western blot. Results:The positivity rate of specific IgG was 76.19% (48/63) and the main allergens were egg and milk. The positivity rate of specific IgE was 41.27% and the main food allergens were egg and freshwater fish. There was a significant difference between the testing results of the specific IgG and IgE for food-allergens (P=0.000). The positivity rate of specific IgE was 57.14% and the main inhalation allergens were dust mites and cockroach. There was no significant difference in the positivity rates of the different tests between the age group of the patients. Conclusion: The combined use of serum allergen-specific lgG and IgE detection can help clinicians to find associated allergens, which may provide a basis for the prevention and treatment of children urticaria.
