Abstract: Objective: To determine the effects of 308 nm excimer laser on the levels of Th17 cytokines in the patients with mild plaque psoriasis. Methods: The levels of IL-17 and IL-22 in 60 patients with mild plaque psoriasis and 20 healthy controls were detected by ELISA. Results: The levels of IL-17and IL-22 in patients before treatment were (98.14±27.83) ng/L and (73.17±20.53) ng/L and those in controls were (44.25±12.64) ng/L and (19.56±6.61) ng/L, with significant differences (P<0.01). The levels of IL-17and IL-22 in the patients after treatment decreased to (51.73±26.32) ng/L and (25.24±18.16) ng/L. The differences in the levels of IL-17 and IL-22before and after the treatment were significant (P<0.01). Conclusion: 308 nm excimer laser can regulate the levels of Th17 cytokines in the patients with mild plaque psoriasis.
