Abstract: Objective: To study the correlation between the level of IL-17 and IL-23 and the different courses of syphilis. Methods: The serum levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in the patients with early syphilis and late syphilis were detected by ELISA. Results: The sera of eighteen patients with early syphilis, 18 patients with late syphilis and 12 healthy controls were collected. The level of IL-17 in the patients with early syphilis and patients with late syphilis were (12.723±8.547)ng/L, (18.757±10.607)ng/L, respectively, with no significant difference (P>0.05);The level of IL-23 were (9.049±7.301) ng/L, (13.603±7.694)ng/L, respectively, with no significant difference (P>0.05). The level of IL-17 and IL-23 in the early syphilis patients and late syphilis patients were higher than those in healthy controls [(5.766±2.153)ng/L, (2.756±1.843)ng/L, respectively] (Ps<0.05). Conclusion: There is no correlation between the level of IL-17 and IL-23 and the courses of TP syphilis.
