Abstract: The patients with herpes zoster only presented with prodromal pain or abortive zoster are easily misdiagnosed. Other diseases are easily concealed in the corresponding site in the patients with typical clinical manifestation. More attention should be paid to the patients with complications of special type of herpes zoster. The different diagnosis of herpes zoster located in different sites and in different types are reviewed in this paper.
