Abstract: Objective: To investigate the infection of human?papilloma virus (HPV) in Shandong district to provide prevention of HPV. Method: The infections of LR-HPV (6,11) and HR-HPV (16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 56 and 58 type) were detected by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR (FQ-PCR) among 5490 outpatients in our institute. Result: Two thousand and sixteen patients were positive for LR-HPV, including 753 female (32.81%) and 1263 male (39.53%), and there was a significant difference in positivity rate between male and female (P<0.01). Seventeen hundred and fifteen patients were positive for HR-HPV, including 925 female (40.31%) and 790 male (24.73%), and there was a significant difference in the positivity rate between male and female (P<0.01). Seven hundred and six eight patients were positive for LR-HPV and HR-HPV, including 358 (15.6%) female and 410 male (12.83%), and there was no significant difference in the positivity rate between male and female (P>0.01). The peak age of female patients was under 20-year-old and above 50-year-old. There were significant differences between different age groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between different age groups in male (P>0.05). Conclusion: The infection rate of LR-HPV in male patients is significant higher than that in female, while the infection rate of HR-HPV in female patients is higher than that in male. The age distribution of female patients is in a pattern of U shape, while there was no association between the HPV infection rate and age in male patients.
