Abstract: ]Mycobacterium haemophilum infection usually occurs in individuals with compromised immune systems, and are rare in those with normal immune function. We report a case of swelling of the finger of a healthy adult male after being stabbed by a fishbone. He was diagnosed with Mycobacterium haemophilum infection by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) sequencing of skin tissue at our hospital. After 4 months of treatment with rifapentine, minocycline hydrochloride capsules, and clarithromycin, the skin lesions subsided.
