Childhood hypopigmented mycosis fungoides: a case report and literature review

Abstract: A case of childhood hypopigmented mycosis fungoides was reported and literatures were reviewed. A 7-year-old boy presented with depigmentation all over the body and scattered erythemas for one year without pruritus. Skin biopsy revealed that the corneum keratinization and hyperplasia of epidermis slightly, lymphoido cyte epidermotropism, dermis lymphocytic infiltration in clusters. Immunohistochemistry revealed that the infiltrating cells were positive for CD3, CD20 (some), Ki-67(10%), CD2, CD5, CD7, CD8(a few), CD4 and negative for CD21. A diagnosis of childhood hypopigmented mycosis fungoides was made. The lesions were almost disappear after 3 months therapy of NB-UVB. The child is still under treatment.
