Scabies in a child: a case report

Abstract: A 3-year-old boy presented with the lesions on his hips for more than two months. Dermatological examination showed erythema, pimples, nodules on his hips, legs and trunk, and a dark red nodule on the penis. The dermatoscopy examination found a small brown triangle structure at the end of the tunnel. The tunnels, chigger mites, eggs, and feces were seen under the reflective confocal microscope. The diagnosis of scabies was made.
