Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of superficial X-ray in the treatment of refractory verruca vulgaris. Methods: 29 patients with refractory verruca vulgaris were treated with superficial X-ray irradiation, 1-2 times, the first dose of 8Gy, if the rash still did not heal 4 weeks later, then given the second X-ray irradiation with dose of 8Gy. Results: There were 54 rashes in 29 patients. After the first treatment, 29 rashes were completely resolved, with a regression rate of 53.7%. 10 patients were cured, with a recovery rate of 34.5%. After the second treatment, 14 of the 21 warts retreated, with a regression rate of 66.7%. Of the 17 patients, 11 were cured, with a recovery rate of 64.7%. In the end, 27 patients completed the whole observation, and 21 patients were cured, with a recovery rate of 77.8%. There were 50 warts in total, and 43 warts retreated, with a regression rate of 86%. The main adverse reactions were transient radiation dermatitis, which occurred in 3 cases after the first treatment and 5 cases after the second treatment, and disappeared within 3 months. Conclusion: Superficial X-ray radiation has a good effect on refractory viral wart, providing a new choice for treatment.
