Abstract: The pathogenesis of acne is complex, and its pharmacological research models are mainly divided into in vivo models and in vitro models, and different pharmacological models are used for different pathogenesis investigation. Based on the current status of acne research, the reported pharmacological models and their application progresses are reviewed in this paper, in order to facilitate the selection of suitable models for practical applications, and to provide a reference for the research and development of acne treatment drugs and cosmetics.
