Abstract: The data of 198 children with infectious erythema were analyzed retrospectively in the department of dermatology of our hospital from November 2017 to December 2019. Of 198 children, 121(61.1%) were male and 77(38.9%) were female. The average age of these patients was (6.49±2.63) years old. The most common skin manifestation was slapped-cheek erythema (153 cases, 65.6%), followed by reticular erythema on upper (132 cases, 55.6%) and lower extremities (110 cases, 55.6%). Fifty five patients (28.8%) had mild itching. Twenty two (11.1%) patients had fever and 17(8.6%) had symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection. Of the 134(67.7%) children who were tested for serum pathogens, 110(55.6%) were positive for B19-IgM. The treatment included proprietary Chinese medicines, antihistamines and glucocorticoids. The duration of the lesions was from 4 to 21 days, with an average of 10 days.
