Abstract: The etiology and pathogenesis of pityriasis rubra pilaris remains unclear, and it is often resistant to conventional treatment. Due to the lack of high-quality evidence, there are currently no treatment guidelines. Retinoids are considered as first-line therapy, and in recent years biologics have been shown to have rapid and significant responses in severe refractory cases. The treatments of pityriasis rubra pilaris are reviewed.
