Novel outbreak and clinical features of monkeypox

Abstract: Monkeypox has been a global pandemic since May 2022, deviating from its historical prevalence primarily within Africa. This zoonotic disease has presented with atypical epidemiological and clinical characteristics, posing new challenges to the diagnostic and therapeutic practices of medical practitioners. This paper reviewed the novel clinical features of current monkeypox outbreak, aiming to enhance the early detection ability of clinical physicians and effectively prepare for the potential outbreak of monkeypox in China.
