Two cases of monkeypox and analysis of monkeypox epidemiological characteristics

Abstract: A 22-year-old male presented with erythema and papule on the root of penis for a week,with fever for 2 days and papules ulcerated for 1 day. He was bitten by a hamster one week before onset of illness. He was a man who has sex with man (MSM). Physical examination revealed ulcerated clusters of pustules on the root of penis, lymphadenectasis on both sides of the groin, and multiple mung bean-sized pustules around the anus. Monkeypox virus nucleic acid qPCR test was positive. A 33-year-old male presented with pustules on the monsveneris for 12 days, erythema on the whole body for 3 days, and pustules on each hand for 1 day. He was a MSM. Physical examination revealed ulcerated clusters of pustules on the veneris mons, erythema all over the body, and millet-sized pustule on each hand. Monkeypox virus nucleic acid qPCR test was positive. Both of these two cases were diagnosed with monkeypox.
