Abstract: A 57-year-old female presented, with nodules and itching in both lower limbs for more than 7 months. She was diagnosed with prurigo nodularis and her condition recurred repeatedly. One week ago, after self-administering a traditional Chinese medicine scrub, ulcers of varying sizes appeared locally, accompanied by pain. Bacterial culture of the skin lesion tissue indicated the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Histopathological examination revealed skin ulcers and perivascular inflammatory cell infiltration in the superficial dermis. The condition improved after 2 weeks of anti-infection treatment with piperacillin-tazobactam, debridementand dressing changes. The ulcers basically healed after 1 month.
