Abstract: Objective:To assess the therapeutic efficacy of biofeedback relaxation therapy in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris (PV) Method: Three hundred and sixty-four patients with PV were selected and randomly divided into treatment group (n=182) and the control group (n=182). Retinoids was given to the patients in the control group. Apart from retinoids, biofeedback relaxation therapy was applied to the patients in the treatment group. The clinical efficacy and side effects were compared between the two groups at week 8 after the treatment. Result: Compared between the two groups after the treatment, the PASI score and DLQI score were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). The effective rate in the treatment group was 67.05%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (37.36%) (P<0.05). The side effects in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group. Conclusion:Biofeedback relaxation therapy is effective in the treatment of PV.
