Abstract: Yokenella regensburgei is a rare opportunistic pathogen that primarily infects immunocompromised individuals. This paper presents a patient with normal immune function who suffered localized Yokenella regensburgei infection after a fish bone injury. A 60-year-old male presented with redness, swelling and pain for 50 days after a fish bone injury in the middle finger of the left hand, which worsened after 3 days of topical erythromycin ointment. According to bacterial culture, morphological identification, biochemical identification, mass spectrometry identification, 16S rRNA sequencing and whole gene sequencing, the patient was finally identified as Yokenella regensburgei infection. The patient was treated with oral doxycycline hydrochloride and topical fusidic acid cream, and recovered 32 days later. No recurrence was observed during the follow-up of half a year.
