Abstract: The clinical data of 9 cases of Mycobacterium marinum infection in scallop farmers and processors admitted from August 2021 to August 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. All 9 patients had a history of being scratched by scallop shells. Among them, 4 cases presented with localized papules at the contact site, and 5 cases had rashes distributed along the lymphatic vessels. Histopathology suggested infectious granuloma. Mycobacterium marinum was detected by bacterial culture and qPCR. Treatment with rifampicin, clarithromycin, minocycline was effective. This paper suggests the importance of conducting education on Mycobacterium marinum infection for high-risk populations to promote early diagnosis and timely treatment.
