Abstract: Keloids is a type of pathological scar, which is difficult to treat clinically, and accurate evaluation is the key. Traditional assessment methods rely on the subjective observations and palpation of clinical doctors, making it difficult to quantify deep tissue characteristics. In recent years, high-frequency ultrasound has emerged as a valuable tool in scar assessment, owing to its advantages such as high resolution, non-invasiveness, and real-time dynamic imaging. This paper reviews the technical principles of high-frequency ultrasound in keloid assessment and application, technical advantages and limitations, and development directions.
