Abstract:

The epidemiological data of gonorrhea in Shandong Province from 2004 to 2018 were collected and analyzed descriptively with SPSS 23.0. The result showed the annual average incidence of gonorrhea in Shandong Province was 4.19 per 100 000 population from 2004 to 2018, which implied that the incidence of gonorrhea remained at a low prevalence level in Shandong Province and which was lower than the average incidence of China (χ2=18.434, P0.05). There were significant differences of the gonorrhea incidences among different regions and populations. The top five cities of annual average incidence rates were Weihai (17.93/105), Jinan (7.33/105), Qingdao (7.14/105), Yantai (5.80/105), Zaozhuang City (4.68/105). The number of cases in the top 5 cities accounted for 59.54% of the total cases. The peak age of the patients with gonorrhea ranged from 20 to 39 years old, accounting for 70.97% of the total cases. The average incidence in the males was significantly higher than that in the females (χ2=7.293, P<0.05), with a sex ratio as high as 7.741. Most patients were farmers, workers, and home-based or unemployed people, which account for 60.80% of the total cases.
