Abstract:

Large spot size low-fluence 1064 nm Q-switched neodymium: yttrium-aluminium-garnet (QSNY) has been reported to be effective for melasma. Apart from post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, the most common adverse reactions were punctate and mottled hypopigmentation. This article summarized the reasons, pathologic changes and treatment of mottled hypopigmentation after low-fluence 1064 nm Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser treatment for melasma
