Abstract: A 24-year-old female presented with erythema, scales and itching on her face, trunk and upper limbs for 3 months. Dermatological examination showed face, trunk, both upper limbs scattered in mung beans to soybeans size erythema, with a few white scales and necrosis in the center of some lesions. Dermoscopic examination showed some fungal infection evidences and fungal examination was recommended. Fungal smear microscopy showed hyphae positive. The fungi were cultured as canine microspore bacteria. The diagnosis of tinea corporis was made and the patient recovered after antifungal therapy and no recurrence.
