Abstract: Objective: To compare the efficacy of intratumoral injection of bleomycin and topical application in the treatment of superficial infantile hemangioma. Methods: The patients with  superficial hemangioma from the pediatric orthopedic surgery in our hospital from December 2018 to December 2019 were collected. The patients were divided into bleomycin injection group and topical application group. Results: A total of 40 patients were collected, 20 in each group. Twelve patients had apparent results and 8 had effective results in the topical application group. Fourteen patients had apparent results and 6 had effective results in the injection group. There was no significant difference of efficacy between the two group (P>0.05), but the tumor became hard in the bleomycin injection group after treatment and which became soft in the topical application group. The common adverse reaction in the injection group was local necrosis or infection. Conclusion: Topical application of bleomycin in the treatment of superficial infantile hemangioma is effective and has less adverse reactions.
