Superficial X-ray combined with retinoids in the treatment of recalcitrant plantar warts: a case report and literature review

Abstract: Plantar warts are common warts that occur on the soles of the feet, and treatments include destructive therapy, antiproliferative therapy, and immunotherapy. We report a case of plantar warts whose lesions were diffuse and refractory, and she was treated with cryotherapy, laser therapy, and medication, with ineffective. After one-time treatment with superficial X-ray combined with retinoic acid drugs for 2 months, the rash was basically cured.
