Progress in the treatment of porokeratosis

Abstract: Porokeratosis (PK) is a keratinized skin disease characterized by central atrophy and peripheral raised patches or rashes. The traditional treatment methods mainly include topical application of 5-fluorouracil, tretinoin cream, imiquimod, etc., and oral administration of acitretin and isotretinoin, etc. In recent years, it has been found that topical cholesterol/statin drugs, PDE-4 inhibitors, and biological agents, JAK inhibitors have been applied in clinical treatment and achieved good therapeutic effects. This review summarizs the latest treatment methods for PK.
