Abstract: Hydroxychloroquine(HCQ) is a drug widely used to treat malaria and autoimmune diseases, and has recently been used to treat rosacea and could be promoted for use in female patients due to its pregnancy safety. Three cases of lip mucosal hyperpigmentation after oral hydroxychloroquine administration in patients with rosacea is reported, with no adverse effects other than hyperpigmentation, and relief of rosacea lesions after treatment. After discontinuing hydroxychloroquine, a patient' lip mucosal hyperpigmentation slightly decreased.
