Severe scars caused by monkeypox: a case report

Abstract: This paper reports a case of monkeypox with AIDS, syphilis and local severe bacterial infection. The patient had a history of AIDS for more than 3 years and was undergoing ART treatment. With a low immune function, the patient developed severe bacterial infection after being infected with the monkeypox virus, and was left with disfiguring scars after the skin lesions healed. This patient had the longest hospitalization and recovery time of 4 months in this region.
