Abstract: We report a patient who was positive for both monkeypox and HIV, with a disease course as long as one year and skin lesions all over the body. The patient was a 42-year-old male. One year ago, the patient had punctate papules on both upper limbs, which gradually progressed to herpes, with thick blister walls and no obvious blister fluid. He had visited several hospitals and been diagnosed as atopic dermatitis and eczema, but the treatment was ineffective and the rashes gradually increased spread all over the body. Because the patient had high-risk sexual behavior and was recently diagnosed with AIDS, the possibility of monkeypox was considered. After admission, monkeypox nucleic acid test was positive, and monkeypox was diagnosed.
