Abstract: The data of 36 patients with neurosyphilis in our hospital from 2010 to 2019 was analyzed retrospectively. The average age of 36 patients, including 29 males and 7 females, was 49 years old. Of 36 patients, 27 were symptomatic neurosyphilis and 9 were asymptomatic neurosyphilis. The average age in the symptomatic neurosyphilis group was 58.12±13.33, which was older than that in the asymptomatic neurosyphilis group (36.07±8.05), with a significant difference (P<0.001). The tests of CSF showed that TPPA was positive in 36 cases and RPR in 21 cases. The increase of the number of leukocytes in CSF in 13 cases, the increase of protein in 24 cases. The laboratory findings showed WBC counts, protein positivity rate, RPR positivity rate, protein quantification of CSF in the symptomatic neurosyphilis group were higher than those in the asymptomatic neurosyphilis group (P=0.005;P=0.036;P=0.002;P=0.019).
