Leprosy misdiagnosed as psoriasis: a case report

Abstract: A 25-year-old male presented with dark red patches and plaques all over his body for three months, and some lesions were covered with silvery scales, with a positive Auspitz sign. There was no response to psoriatic treatment. The pathological features were accordance with leprosy. Split skin smears for acid-fast bacilli in the lesions were positive. The patient was treated with anti-leprosy drugs. The lesions were gradually improved after 1 month of the treatment.
