Majocchi's granuloma: a case report

Abstract: A 68-years-old female patient presented with erythema, papules, and nodules on the right wrist with pain for one and a half years, and aggravated for 2 months. Histologic examination found the granulomatous inflammatory reactions, HE fluorescence staining and tissue culture showed Trichophyton rubrum. The diagnosis was Majocchi's granuloma. The patient was successfully treated with systemic and topical antifungal medications, and no recurrence happened during one-year follow up.
