High-dose pentoxifylline for sclerosing panniculitis with ulcer:a case report

Abstract: We report a case of sclerosing panniculitis with ulcer. Dermatological examination showed brown atrophic plaques on the medial side of the right lower limb, which were hard to touch, large brown atrophic plaques on the lower 1/3 of the left lower limb, which were wood-like hardness and tender to touch, and irregular ulcer surface with purulent secretion on the anterior tibia. After the treatment with high-dose pentoxifylline combined with hydroxychloroquine, the condition was significantly improved.
