Advances in the application of carboxytherapy in dermatology

Abstract: Carboxytherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that involves the injection of purified carbon dioxide gas into the skin to achieve therapeutic effects. In recent years, it has been successfully applied in the treatment of various dermatological conditions, particularly in cosmetic dermatology. Its indications include scars, striae distensae, periorbital hyperpigmentation, facial skin aging, alopecia, vitiligo and psoriasis.We review the new progress of carbon dioxide therapy in dermatology in this paper.
