Abstract: The sonogram features of 107 cases with basal cell carcinoma (63 of nodulo-ulcerative type, 22 of pigmented type, 20 of superficial type and one of morphea type and one of fibroepithelioma type) confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively. The roundness index ranged from 1.43 to 17.75 with an average value of 8.53 and a median value of 3. Blood flow signals were found in 22 cases with an average peak systolic velocity (PSV) of 14.23±4.77cm/s and an average resistance index (RI) of 0.44±0.13. The sonogram of the lesions in the patients with nodulo-ulcerative type, pigmented type and fibroepithelioma type were oval or quasi-circular homogeneous in 68 patients, flat in 18 and the lesions in the dermis in 62 cases. The sonogram of the lesions in the patients with superficial type and morphea type were oval or quasi-circular homogeneous in 2 patients and flat in 19, and the lesions in the dermis in 2 cases.
