Abstract: Objective: To detect the expression of SGK1 in the lesions of actinic keratosis (AK),basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Methods: The expression levels of SGK1 were detected by immunohistochemical SABC method in the samples of 25 normal skin (NS), 25 AK, 28 BCC and 28 SCC. Results: In the samples of NS, AK, BCC and SCC,the positivity rates of SGK1 cells were (40.03±14.42)%, (36.63±14.28)%, (52.82±18.73)% and (52.58±20.13)% respectively, and there were significant differences in positivity rates between BCC, SCC group and NS group (Ps<0.05). The cells positivity rate >50% were seen in 6 NS samples (24%), 3 AK (12%),16 BCC (57.14%) and 14 SCC (50%). The positivity rates were significant differences between BCC, SCC group and NS group (Ps<0.05). Conclusion: SGK1 may play a role in the pathogenesis of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
