Generalized porokeratosis accompanied with squamous cell carcinoma: a case report

Abstract: A 46-year-old female presented with keratinized plaques all over the body for more than 30 years, and ulcer on scalp for more than 1 year. Dermatological examination showed brown plaque on the trunk and limbs, some with central atrophy, and a ulcer 18 cm×9 cm in size on the occipitalia. Histopathological examination of occipital lesion showed cord-shaped atypical cells. Immunohistochemistry indicated squamous cell carcinoma. Histopathological examination of arm showed multiple hypokeratotic columns. The diagnosis of generalized porokeratosis accompanied with squamous cell carcinoma was made. The patient was treated with radiation therapy with a good result.
