Abstract: Chronic autoimmune urticaria (CAU) is a special type of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). It is characterized by repeated wheal, angioedema, or both simultaneously. The course of the disease often persists for more than six weeks, and the systemic symptoms are common. The clinical presentation, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment are reviewed in this paper.
