Abstract: Nodular skin amyloidosis is the rarest subtypes of the primary localized skin amyloidosis. It is clinically manifested as single or multiple yellowish-brown waxy nodules or plaques. A 34-year-old male presented with masses on the scalp for two years. Histological examination of the skin revealed large amyloid deposits in the papillary and reticular layers of the dermis. Congo red staining and crystal violet staining were positive. The diagnosis of nodular cutaneous amyloidosis was made. The nodules were shrinked after the treatment of intralesional compound betamethasone injection.
