Abstract: Objective: To detect the qauntity change of demodex mites with RCM in the patients with rosacea before and after treatment. Methods: Fifty patients with facial rosacea were collected and the number of demodex mites in the patients were detected with RCM before and after therapy. Results: Demodex mites were found in all 50 patients. The average numbers of demodex mites in 5 mm×5 mm scanning area were 91.60±25.57 and 42.95±10.20, and the average hair follicles affected were 33.38±8.10 and 21.05±4.98 before and after treatment, with significant differences (Ps<0.05). Conclusion: The number of demodex mites in the patients with rosacea decreases with the effective therapy.
