Multiple autoimmune syndrome: a case report and literature review

Abstract: Multiple autoimmune syndrome (MAS) is defined as a combination of at least three autoimmune diseases in the same patient. A 67-year-old male was diagnosed as having IgA pemphigus, vitiligo, alopecia areata, myasthenia gravis and thymoma (underwent thymoma resection), diabetes mellitus. The lesions of IgA pemphigus subside after treated with oral prednisone.
