Abstract: Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of 308 nm excimer laser combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and 308 nm excimer laser alone in the treatment of vitiligo. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, VIP database and China Biomedical Literature Database were searched for the research on 308 nm excimer laser and PRP in the treatment of vitiligo. The effective rate and marked effective rate were used as indicators for statistical analysis, and the odds ratios (OR) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated. Results: Four trials were included in our study. Statistical analysis showed that 308 nm excimer laser combined with PRP was superior to the 308 nm excimer laser alone in the treatment of vitiligo (Effective rate: OR=3.39, 95% CI 1.98-5.80; Marked effective rate: OR=10.31, 95% CI 2.43-43.72). There was no serious adverse events occurred in both groups. Conclusion: 308 nm excimer laser combined with PRP is more effective than 308 nm excimer laser alone in the treatment of vitiligo.
