Analysis of external quality assessment of syphilis serology in Hainan Province from 2010 to 2019

Abstract: Objective: To understand the current status of syphilis serological testing in the medical facilities of Hainan Province. Methods: The assessment of external quality assessment of syphilis serology was organized every year from 2010 to 2019. The samples were distributed to different laboratories for serological qualitative and quantitative tests of non-Treponemal Pallidum antigen and qualitative test of Treponema pallidum antigen. The result of test should be reported within the required time. Results: From 2010 to 2019, the average scores of syphilis serology test level were increased from 66.63 in 2010 up to 96.31 in 2019. Conclusion: The laboratory syphilis detection capacity in Hainan Province has been improved year by year.
